Project outline |
|
Rodley Nature Reserve was created on the site of the old sewage sludge fields adjacent to the River Aire. The land, owned by Yorkshire Water, is leased to the voluntary body Rodley Nature Reserve Trust. The site was designed by the Wetlands Advisory Service consultancy and the main land-forming was carried out by Land, Wood & Water in 1999 and 2000. A management plan had been written by the Wetlands Advisory Service and money given by Yorkshire Water to the Trust to manage the site for the first 3 years. JPR Environmental was contracted to undertake the practical management of the site in the first year and to set up systems for the ongoing long-term management of the reserve. |
